Prof. Dr. Ugo PeroneProf. Dr. Ugo Perone, is a philosopher born in 1945. From 2001-2003, he was the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin. He presently teaches philosophy at Italy’s Università Piemonte Orientale in Vercelli. After completing his studies in philosophy in 1967, Professor Perone worked as a lecturer and academician at universities in several locations, including Munich and West Berlin. From 1993-2001, as the mayor of Turin, he was responsible for the Italian city’s cultural life in addition to his other duties. Professor Perone has also served as the president of the Italian Union for the Promotion of Young Artists and the director for the Coordination of Cities of Art and Culture project.
